Terms of Service
Last updated: September 16, 2026
Agreement to These Terms
These Terms govern your use of the Magnum Wallet desktop application, this website, and the support channels listed here. By downloading, installing, or using the software you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not install or use Magnum.
Magnum is software you run on your own computer. No account is created, and using it does not make us your broker, exchange, custodian, or agent.
Who May Use Magnum
You must be of legal age in your country and allowed by local law to hold and transfer crypto assets. You are responsible for checking whether using this kind of software is permitted where you live, and for meeting any tax or reporting duties that apply to your activity.
Your Wallet, Your Keys
Magnum is non-custodial. Private keys, recovery phrases, and passwords are generated and stored on your device. We never receive them, cannot see your balances, and cannot move, freeze, or restore your funds.
- You are responsible for keeping your recovery phrase and backups safe
- A lost phrase, a lost password, or a damaged device with no backup means permanent loss of access
- Transactions you sign are broadcast to public networks and cannot be cancelled or reversed
- You are responsible for checking the recipient address and the network before sending
License to Use the Software
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable license to install and use Magnum for lawful purposes. Open source components are distributed under the MIT License, and the license text ships with the application. You may not sell Magnum as your own product, remove or alter its branding and security notices, or distribute modified builds in a way that suggests they are official releases.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Magnum for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, theft, sanctions evasion, or any other activity that is illegal where you are. You also agree not to attack our infrastructure, interfere with other users, or use automated tools to abuse the exchange or support services.
Third Party Services
Swaps, staking, price data, and blockchain access rely on independent providers and public networks. When you use those features, the provider you select processes the order under its own terms and policies. We do not control their rates, limits, processing times, identity checks, or decisions, and we are not responsible for their acts or failures. Blockchain networks themselves are operated by no one and can be congested, forked, or halted.
Fees
The wallet software is free. Network fees are paid to the blockchain, and swap fees are set by the provider that fills the order. Both are shown before you confirm and are estimates until the transaction settles. Neither we nor the network can refund a confirmed transaction.
No Financial or Legal Advice
Magnum shows market data and provider quotes as information only. Nothing in the software or on this website is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, and nothing is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset. Crypto prices move sharply and can go to zero. Decisions you make are your own.
Risks You Accept
- Price volatility and total loss of value
- User error, such as a wrong address, a wrong network, or a lost backup
- Malware, phishing sites, fake installers, and compromised devices
- Smart contract defects and token projects that fail or turn out to be fraudulent
- Network congestion, chain reorganisations, forks, validator slashing, and unbonding delays
- Provider outages that delay or cancel a swap after funds have left your wallet
Updates and Availability
We may release updates, change features, or discontinue parts of the service. Some features may stop working on older versions. Because the wallet is non-custodial, your keys remain yours and can be restored in any compatible wallet using your recovery phrase, even if Magnum stops being maintained.
Warranty Disclaimer
Magnum is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error free, or secure against every possible attack.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of funds, loss of keys or data, lost profits, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Magnum, from third party services, or from blockchain networks. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Indemnity
You agree to cover claims, damages, and reasonable costs that arise from your misuse of the software or your breach of these Terms or of applicable law.
Support
Support is provided by email and through the help pages on this site, on a best effort basis and with no guaranteed response time. Support staff will never ask for your recovery phrase, private keys, or password. Any message that does is an impersonation attempt.
Privacy
How information is handled is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the software or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated version.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Magnum team operates, without regard to conflict of law rules. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue directly. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence still apply.
Severability and Entire Agreement
If a provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Together with the Privacy Policy, these Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the software.
