About This Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Magnum Wallet handles information when you use the desktop application, visit this website, or contact support. Magnum is a non-custodial wallet. Private keys and recovery phrases are created and stored on your device.
Information Stored on Your Device
The application stores wallet addresses, account labels, preferences, transaction records, and encrypted key material locally. Your password protects the wallet file. Magnum cannot reset that password or restore a lost recovery phrase.
Information Sent Over the Network
A connection is required to read balances, retrieve transaction history, estimate network fees, broadcast signed transactions, compare exchange quotes, and use staking services. These requests may include public wallet addresses, asset identifiers, transaction data, or your IP address. Private keys and recovery phrases are not required for these requests and should never be sent.
Local Signing and Backups
Transactions are signed on your device before they are broadcast. If you export a backup, you choose where the file is stored or transferred. Anyone who obtains the backup and its password may be able to access your wallet, so keep both in separate secure locations.
Website and Support Information
If you contact support, we receive the email address, message, and attachments you choose to provide. Do not include a private key, recovery phrase, password, or unencrypted wallet backup. We use support information only to answer your request, maintain service quality, and address security or legal concerns.
Third-Party Services
Blockchain nodes, exchange providers, staking providers, hardware wallet software, and email services process information under their own privacy policies. Magnum does not control their data practices. Review the relevant provider’s policy before using an integrated service.
Data Retention
Wallet data remains on your device until you remove it or uninstall the application. Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed to resolve requests, protect the service, meet legal obligations, and maintain necessary business records.
Security
Magnum uses technical safeguards intended to protect local wallet data and communications. No software or transmission method can guarantee complete security. Keep your operating system and Magnum Wallet updated, verify download sources, and never share recovery credentials.
Your Choices and Rights
You can remove local wallet data through the application and your operating system. You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information submitted through support, subject to applicable law and records we must retain. Requests can be sent to the address below.
Children’s Privacy
Magnum Wallet is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where local law requires it. We do not knowingly request personal information from children through the website or support service.
International Processing
Support and third-party services may process information in countries outside your own. Privacy protections and legal requirements can differ between jurisdictions.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the product, service providers, or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the latest version. Material changes will be presented on this page.
